Oktoberfest

This weekend was the annual Oktoberfest at the Marland Mansion in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Our daughters surprised us and came home for the weekend so that we could enjoy Oktoberfest together. If you have never gone you need to plan to attend next year. Oktoberfest is always on the first weekend of October.

OktoberfestThere is something for everyone at Oktoberfest. Vendors of all kinds set up tents to sell their wares. There are craft vendors with everything from painted signs, repainted furniture, fall and Christmas décor, and jewelry. Other booths include local organizations sharing information and independent sales representatives for companies like Scentsy and Celebrating Home.

Oktoberfest VendorsNear the beer garden is a huge sports tent with big screen TVs so that the OU and OSU sports fans can watch the football games. The main stage featured lots of talented singers and the Thunder Girls.

Kids can enjoy pony rides, petting zoo, and a train ride. There are also inflatables, a rock climbing wall, and bumper cars. Kids can also have their face painted and get balloon animals.

Train RideWhen you get hungry there are many food vendors including bratwurst, corndogs, and Indian tacos. If you have a sweet tooth there is funnel cakes, cheesecake on a stick and much more.

Indian TacoI enjoyed a fun day at Oktoberfest. The weather was perfect and the company I was with was wonderful. I am glad our whole family was able to be together for the day.

Be Inspired,

Dena
